Patricia Ann Passons Bell, age 72, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family and friends.
Patty was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas, on April 16, 1952, to E.T. and Edith (Foster) Passons. She married David Ray Penson on August 22, 1969 and they had a son, Dave Penson. She later married David Bell, on November 6, 1981. Patty attended El Centro College for Health Sciences and had a life-long career as a Respiratory Therapist. She found great joy in providing education to her COPD patients. Patty’s home was always open to her many friends, with coffee constantly brewing and a warm welcome awaiting all who entered.
Known for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter, Patty cherished moments filled with joy and shared laughter with those around her. She had a special bond with her grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Patty was an avid Dallas Mavericks fan! Go Mav’s!
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, ET and Edith Passons; husband, David Penson; husband, David Bell; and daughter, Brandi Kaye Bell Peters. She is survived by her brother, Michael Passons; son, David Michael Penson and his wife Anne-Michelle; sister-in-law, Kim (Bell) and husband Morgan Anderson; sister-in-law, Nancy Bell; grandsons, Gage and Rafe Penson; son-in-law, Mickey Peters; grandchildren, Presley and Brock Peters; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Patty’s legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
Graveside/Inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at City Cemetery with Charles Ivey officiating. Tiffany Green, Amanda Sample, Tammy Wilburn, and Fellow Respiratory Therapists will serve as honorary pallbearers.
