FFA Students Experience Delay in State Convention Due to Hurricane Beryl

July 9, 2024 – FFA students eager to attend the State FFA Convention in Houston this week are experiencing a delay due to weather conditions related to Hurricane Beryl. Local chapters are opting to assess the flood situation before heading out to the conference.

After power was restored to the convention center late yesterday, Como-Pickton CISD’s local FFA chapter will be heading out early Wednesday morning to allow their member to attend the convention.

The Texas FFA Convention was scheduled to begin on Monday, July 8th and last until July 12th. Adjustments have been made to the convention schedule. For the most current information visit updates
