Sybil Coke

A Graveside service will be held for Mrs. Sybil Coke on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 2p.m in the Restlawn Memorial Park in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Mrs. Sybil Coke of Sulphur Springs, Texas joined the Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the age of 93.

Sybil was born April 29, 1931 to Dewey Franklin Cunningham and Evie Mae Davis Cunningham in Hopkins County, Texas. She married Billy “Joe” Coke in December 1951, and they had three children. She worked for Coke Plumbing as a bookkeeper, was a member of Central Baptist Church, and loved spending time in the garden. Sybil was a cherished mother, friend and family member and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Kelley and her husband David, Sherry Shamblin and her husband Rick; son, Larry Coke and his wife Diane; sister Mamie Krkosha; grandchildren, Joe Kelley (Kim), Gina Geeslin (Wade), Kirk Shamblin (Alicia), Julie Scott (Donovan), Lauren Stracener (Will), Karmon Friddle (Joel), Kaylie Bigby (Austin); great-grandchildren, Justus, Kaci, Jesilyn, Isabelle, Zane, Wyatt, Rylie, Reagan, Jordan, and Sophia.

Sybil is preceded in death by her husband, Billy “Joe” Coke; her parents, Dewey Franklin Cunningham and Evie Mae Davis Cunningham; brothers, Bob Cunningham and Ben Cunningham, and great-grandchild Jayla Jo.
