Funeral Service for David Wayne Gaines will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 16, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home with Randy Walker and John Bivins officiating. Paul White, John Bivins, Philip Doty, Shannon Gaines, Jose Arellanes, and James Bivins will be serving as pallbearers, Heath Petty will be serving as honorary pallbearer. There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home and Interment will follow the funeral service at Cumby Cemetery. David passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family.
David was born on September 22, 1954, to Barney and Atha Gaines in Greenville, Texas. He was a farmer and rancher, enjoyed riding his tractor as well as taking care of his cattle. David adored spending time with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life, Ann White, his son, Josh Gaines of Cumby Texas, three nephews, Shannon Gaines of Cumby, Texas, John Bivins also of Cumby, Texas, James Bivins of Odessa, Texas and one niece, Joni Doty of Cumby, Texas.
David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerald Gaines, one sister, Jan Bivins and one niece, Kelly Ann Gaines.
