A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, October 27, 2024
Hey friends!! Recently I felt a nudge to talk to the Lord about a certain situation in my life. Something that I don’t want to talk to Him about because I’m not ready to give it over yet. I know if I go to Him about it, He will ask me to let it go. I know He will because I know I shouldn’t be holding onto it to begin with. But I am. So when I felt that tug, I said, “Lord I don’t want to.” And that’s when I felt like Adam and Eve hiding in the bushes. Like God didn’t see them. Like He didn’t see them eat of the fruit. Like He didn’t know where they were. I felt like Adam and Eve sitting in the bushes hoping He would pass me by. But He didn’t leave them in the bushes. They were hiding because they suddenly felt ashamed and realized they were naked. They had always enjoyed fellowship with the Lord before that. He walked with them in the cool of the day. And here they were hiding.
And friends, that’s exactly what we do with the Lord when we have something we don’t want to let go of, whether it be unforgiveness for someone, hurt from the past, a sin, something you’re hoping He doesn’t see, a habit, a lifestyle. You see friends, you can’t hide them from God; He already knows. The only thing you’re really doing is, keeping yourself from intimate fellowship with the Father. He comes and He calls for us just as He did Adam and Eve and He is desiring to walk with us but we hide because of the thing we don’t want to take to him. And man it hit me like a ton of bricks that because of that one thing that I’m not trusting Him with, that I’m busy trying to hold onto, is keeping me from that intimate relationship that I’ve always enjoyed with him. This morning, He and I started the dialogue about my situation. And I know I need to trust Him with it.
Friends, come out of the bushes, take it to the Father so you can enjoy fellowship with Him, so He can walk with you through it. He loves you and He already knows. There is no shame or condemnation. He wants to set you free from the hold it has on you! Come to Him. He knows. You are so loved! Live loved!
