A private family service for Rickey Roberts, age 68, of Caddo Mills, Texas, will be held at a later date. Mr. Roberts passed away at Rock Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Rickey Roberts was born on January 15, 1956, in Clarksville, Texas, to Jones W. and Cecile F. (Sweeden) Roberts. Rickey was known to everyone to be a very kind, helpful, and selfless person who will be missed. Nothing was more important to Rickey than his family. He was the best Dad & PawPaw! Rickey was very passionate about his job in law enforcement and worked for both Hopkins County Sheriff’s and Sulphur Springs Police Departments with over 30 years of service. He found joy in making others smile and laugh, even at his own expense. To know him, was to truly love him.
Rickey is survived by his son, Lane Roberts and wife Britney, of Caddo Mills, Texas; daughter, Whitney Waller and husband Glen, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Lexi Roberts, Draydn Roberts, Ashlyn Waller, and Kaylin Waller; brother, Bruce Roberts of Sulphur Springs, Texas; sister, Karen McCormack of Sulphur Springs, Texas; nieces, Morgan Hind of Grapevine, Texas and Lindsey McCarthy of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; nephew, Brooks Roberts of Sulphur Springs, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jones and Cecile Roberts.
