James Edward Hall

Funeral Services for James Edward Hall will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024 at Morning Chapel Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, Texas. 

James Edward Hall, the youngest child born to the parentage of Cliford and Florien Hall on December 15, 1941, in Sulphur Springs, Texas (Hopkins County) His Father, Mother, two brothers preceded him in death.

Remembered as a child and educated at Douglas High School of Sulphur Springs Texas. He became a member of Morning Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. James worked for 30+ years for Cotton Belt Railroad where he retired in early 2003.

James met and married the love of his life Thelma June 10,1963 to this union two sons were born Rickey and James Jr.

James was very much a family man he loved his family deeply; he worked diligently to provide for and protect his family he was proud to let you know how they meant the world to him.  James was so proud to be a Pawpaw to his 3 grandchildren! They would get any and everything they wanted when they spent time with Pawpaw he spoiled them rotten and he loved it to his core. 

James had many hobbies; he loved gardening, often sharing his tips and knowledge with his daughter in law. He enjoyed fishing, taking pride in having a beautiful, manicured lawn. He enjoyed having the cleanest and shiniest cars on the block. He also enjoyed barbecuing and the company of his many friends and family, he had a laugh that will be unforgettable.

James was a beautiful kind and giving soul, if he could do anything for his family, friends or anyone in need it would be done no questions asked.

Mr. James Hall departed this life on Sunday November 17, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. He leaves to cherish his memory, a very loving and devoted wife Mrs. Thelma Hall, two sons Rickey Ray Hall (Maria), Burleson, Tx.  James Edward Hall Jr. Sulphur Springs, Tx. one living sister Faye Bradford, Dallas, TX. Three grandchildren, Tayanita, Darien, and Tevin Hall, and one great grand-daughter Avery Grace Hall, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relative and friends
