William Kendall Moore Jr., affectionately known by most as Kenneth, was born on January 5, 1955, in Selmer, Tennessee, to the parentage of William Kendall Moore Sr. and Lela Virdie Moore. In 1959, he moved to Texas with his mother and siblings, where he attended and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Kenneth was an accomplished athlete, playing quarterback and participating on the swim team during his high school years.
After graduation, Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served for two years. Making the greatest decision of his life, Kenneth accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age. He latter answered the call of ministry under the leadership of the late Pastor H.B. Montgomery of Morning Chapel Baptist Church and subsequently joined Greater Immanuel Baptist Church under the direction of his spiritual father Pastor D.K. Young, where he remained a devoted member until his health began to decline.
Kenneth worked many years on the road as a truck driver, delivering goods and services to manufacturing plants across the region.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Latrisha and to this union two children were born: LaShan and Dameon.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories: His longtime love, Latrisha Moore, and their children: LaShan (Donnie) Taylor of Dallas, Dameon (KeriAnn) Moore of Sulphur Springs, Danny (Angela) Nash of Dallas, Layaka Nash of Pasadena, Maryland, and Shanna Nash of Sulphur Springs.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Deja, Dizodrick, Darron, Essence, Sakara, Brennon, Bryson, Maryah, James, Cordell, Shaniyah, Braydon, Brynleigh, and Briton. His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren, Haisely and Kyzir; his siblings: Tim (Maryan) Moore of Arlington, TX, Dennis Moore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
