Funeral services for James “Jim” Wade Gregg, age 88, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m.,on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Interment will be at Restlawn Memorial Park with the Masons serving as pallbearers.
Jim passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025 with his family by his side. Jim was born on May 17, 1936 in Hopkins County, the son of Hugh Mark Gregg and Mary Rebecca Kitts Gregg. He married Peggy Groves on July 22, 1955 in Sulphur Springs. Jim served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Sulphur Springs Masonic Lodge #221 and a member of Arbala Church.
In addition to his wife Peggy, he is survived by his children, Diane Breneman and husband Bill and Karen Zitterich and husband Ron, grandchildren, Matthew Zitterich and wife Chelsea, Kyle Zitterich and wife Marisa, Dalton Walthall and Wife Kyla, Holly Booth, Joshua Breneman, Robert Breneman and wife Katie, great-grandchildren, Diane Booth, Kruz Zitterich, Cash Zitterich, Zoe Walthall,, Grace Breneman, Judah Breneman, Scottlyn Breneman, Lukas Breneman, Harlie Reidmier and Camryn Reidmier.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy Braz Gregg and sister, Josephine Echols.
Memorials may be made to the Masonic Lodge #221.
