Hopkins County Breast Cancer Support Group Meeting Moved for Spring Break

Sulphur Springs, Texas — The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s Breast Cancer Support Group has been moved to Monday, March 17 in consideration of Spring Break.

Routinely, it is held the second Monday of every month. Meetings will return to the second Monday of the month starting April 7. All meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. in the Medical Plaza Conference Room, 113 Airport Rd, on the campus of CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital – Sulphur Springs.

Patients and survivors of all gynecologic cancers and all breast cancer patients and survivors are welcome to attend and bring a loved one. Every meeting, attendees have the chance to share prayer requests or testimonies, or simply listen and absorb. The group enjoys light refreshments, guest speakers, and the chance to send a note to homebound patients or patients with a new diagnosis.

The Breast Cancer Support Group is one of the offerings of the Hopkins County Health Care Foundation’s program called In My Closet. In My Closet is a free store where breast cancer patients and survivors can shop for wigs, prosthetics, mastectomy bras, inserts, hats, and scarves year-round by appointment. The program also features a free mammography clinic every October using proceeds of our annual Designer Handbag Bingo in August.
