Graveside service for Barbara Hunt, age 73, of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Emblem Cemetery with Judd Gregory officiating. Ms. Hunt passed away at Sunny Springs Nursing Home in Sulphur Springs on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Barbara Ann Hunt was born on August 27, 1951 in Dallas County to Leon Emmett and Bertha (Butler) McKiddy. Barbara was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. When she was younger, Barbara was an evangelist and traveled in a gospel quartet.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Ronnie Hunt (Christina) and Ricky Hunt all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Dustin Hunt and Jennifer Hunt; great-grandson, Bentley Hunt; sisters, Helen Mathis of Ferris, Texas and Linda Clark of Italy, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Bertha McKiddy; sister, Shirley McKiddy; and niece, Vonda Runyun.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
