Bob Hrobak, age 56, passed away in Yantis, Texas on Friday, March 7, 2025. He was a resident of El Segundo, California. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Robert Paul Hrobak was born on January 29, 1969 in Los Angeles, California to Robert Paul and Joy (Bussell) Hrobak. Bob graduated in 1993 from Ohio State University with a Communications degree. He was a partner of Waterfall Gourmet Beverages in Austin, Texas which is one of the leading distributors of coffee shop products in the country. In addition, he was a partner in Waterfall Holdings the Real Estate arm of the business. During his college years, he attended Ohio State University on a full swimming scholarship. He attended high school in Hawaii and helped his team win the State Championship by capturing the number one spot in two events. He was an avid surfer, snowboarder, fisherman, and a very gifted athlete in general. He spent significant time in the Yantis area as his Mother was born and raised there and the family eventually built a cabin on Lake Fork. Bob enjoyed the film industry and operated Hrobak Video Productions for Swell Magnet a very popular surfing website in Southern California. In addition, he was the Executive Producer of a documentary called Camp Chuck which captured the lives, dreams, and troubles of Motorcross professionals. It was filmed primarily in Cleveland, Texas.
Bob was raised in California, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Hawaii but he spent most of his life in California.
Bob is survived by his father, Robert Hrobak, Sr. of The Hills, Texas, and numerous cousins both Texas and a number of Eastern states. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joy Hrobak and brother, Phil Hrobak.
