A Message of Inspiration From the Author of Living Loved, April 13, 2025
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).
“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”(Matthew 6:33-34)
Hey friends, our lives can so easily be filled with demands that we lose sight of our purpose. We can set our days in motion looking to meet the demands of the day or we can stop and pray to seek the Direction of the Lord and His purpose for us. If we don’t seek Him first we can easily find ourselves drifting into an ocean of demands with no sail or purpose. Everyday we should begin with Gods purpose for us in mind first. If he is guiding us then we will fulfill that purpose and the demands of the day will either be met or we will realize they weren’t that important. When he marks our steps we can be sure everything will come together in proper priority and alignment. We are loved by a mighty God who has given each of us a purpose and that purpose is not to run around aimlessly; but instead purposeful and driven by His plans for us! Sometimes the demands scream louder than the purpose and that’s why it is so important to seek Him first so He can lead us through our days.
Pray with me! Father God I love you and thank you for this day you have given me that was not promised. I want to walk this day out with purpose and be lead by you in every minute and every task. I don’t want to be led by demands but by you and the purpose you have given me. Lord help me to see the difference between what is important and what I have MADE important that is useless to my purpose. I don’t want to take up my own path, I desire to follow yours. Forgive me Father where I have blazed my own trail that has me drifting in a sea of demands with no sail. Be my sail and the winds that drive me. Thank you father for loving me and helping me walk with your purpose for me and be freed from the demand-driven life. In Jesus name amen!
