Renaming the Broadway Bridge Celebration District is jumping through hoops according to Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell. It will allow the city to make a sizable impact quickly in an effort to direct people from I-30 to downtown. TXDOT says only signs of cross streets can be hung in certain locations thus the name change with an arrow pointing downtown. Billboards will also be used.
