Wildcats Team Tennis Coach Tony Martinez was savoring two wins in three days at the Wildcat Tennis Center Monday (September 23) night. Saturday the Wildcats topped Van, 11-8 on the road and Monday night, after accepting a 1-0 forfeit from Mount Pleasant, Coach Martinez set up some practice matches so Tigers players could compete in some practice matches against Wildcats players. Coach Martinez said it took a team effort Saturday to defeat Van. He noted that the Vandals have been almost impossible to beat in the past. The Wildcats got six boys points and four girls points along with the mixed doubles point against Van. Monday the Wildcats will face Royse City at home at the Wildcat Tennis Center. The Bulldogs forfeited all of their district matches this year. Coach Martinez said they have agreed to play practice matches Monday. The Wildcats will also play Anna on October 8. Both of those matches will be used as prep for the Wildcats bi-district match on October 15.
