At least four people were booked into Hopkins County jail over the weekend on outstanding felony controlled substance warrants, according to arrest and jail reports.
Anthony Wayne Dugan, 38, of North Richland Hills was transported by HCSO Deputy Jason Poteet from Lubbock County Detention Center at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, to Hopkins County jail on a warrant for violation of probation on a felony bail jumping/failure to appear charge. He also reportedly had an outstanding driving while license invalid warrant as well, according to jail reports.
Hopkins County Sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Davis took Linda Burrows Miears, 55, of Sulphur Springs into custody round 6:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at her Davis Street residence on two warrants for violation of probation, which she was on for manufacture or delivery of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance in a drug-free zone and theft of property valued at $1,500 or more but less than $20,000.
Michael Keith Rhodes, 54, of Sulphur Springs was taken into custody by HCSO Sgt. Scott Davis at 11:07 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at his Airport Road residence on two warrants for violation of probation on possession of less than one gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charges. Davis transported Rhodes to the county jail, where he remained on both charged Monday morning, Oct. 28, according to arrest and jail reports.
Friday marked the second time Rhodes has been arrested this month. He was arrested by deputies on Oct. 10 for possession of 0.7 gram of a substance that field-tested positive as methamphetamine, allegedly found in his wallet during a traffic stop, the sheriff’s officers alleged in reports earlier this month. He was released from jail Oct. 14 on $5,000 bond on that charge, according to jail reports.
HCSO Deputy Nick Marney took custody of Quentin Lee Wright, 28, of Sulphur Springs at 8:35 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, and transported him from Lamar County jail to Hopkins County jail, where he was held for surety off bond on a delivery of 1/4-ounce to 5 pounds of marijuana charge, according to arrest reports. His new bond was set at $5,000 on the charge, according to jail reports.
Wright has been booked into Hopkins County jail on two other occasions this year. He was arrested on Feb. 10 for possession of drug paraphernalia and on May 20 on a warrant for delivery of 1/4-ounce to 5 pounds of marijuana, according to jail reports.
