Funeral Services for Janet Barnes, age 87 of Greenville formally of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Dr. James Ralson officiating. Interment will follow in the North Hopkins Cemetery with Ronald Self, Shawn Green, Kevin Wallace, Dustin Wallace, Devin Self, Bo Monsour and Dakota Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Self, Chris Smith, Phillip Smith Jose Monsour and Devin Wallace. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 5, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Janet passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Greenville Health & Rehab. She retired from the telephone company and was a seamstress.
She was born on October 11, 1927 the daughter of Huett and Lorraine Hall Moore in Dennison, TX. She married Howard Eugene Barnes, who preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors include: daughters, Brenda Self of Caddo Mills, Kay Smith of Point and Pam Sullivan of Greenville; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, James Moore and sons-in-law, Marvin Darrell Smith and Roger L. Green.
