Funeral Services for Robert “Pops” Lambert, Sr., age 75 of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hall and Rev. Andy Comer officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
Robert “Pops” passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. He was a retired construction worker, a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and was of the Baptist faith.
He was born on May 9, 1939, the son of Bud and Emma Ruth (Grant) Lambert . He married Carol Louise West on December 14, 1957 in Reno, Nevada. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Ruth Mellore; sister, Sharon Buti; sons, B.J. Lambert and wife, Debi and Jim Lambert and Kim; daughter, Kathy Gast and husband, Ken and Monica Rangel; grandchildren, Robert Delima, Greg and Dina Hegseth, Anthony Gast, Danyelle Lambert, Mike Tucker, J.J. Lambert, Katrina and Pedro Lozano, Amanda Stoutenburg, Chris Keeping, Joey Hegseth, Ashley Lambert, Cassidy Gast, Leah Lambert and Hannah Lambert; great-grandchildren, Hailey Lozano, Mia Lozano, Hayden Hegseth, Hunter Hegseth, Landry Keeping, Brettly Keeping and Carson Hegseth.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, John Lambert and one sister, Carolea McGee.
