WHAT:     Matt White Presents “Prairie Time”

Matt White teaches American History.   He lives in Campbell, TX, with his wife Kristin and four daughters.  He is the author of Prairie Time: A Blackland Portrait and Birds of Northeast Texas, both published by Texas A & M University Press.

 Matt White has studied prairies all across the state.  (A prairie is grassland that has never been explored).  In his presentation, he combines family stories and natural history to let us know what our ancestors saw when they first came to Hopkins County.
