Funeral services for Vandal Gene Huffines, age 78, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Spence Chapel of First Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Daniel Huffines, Philip Huffines, Aaron Randolph, Jason Godfrey, Robert Stidham, and Dwayne Stewart serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Huffines and Carter Huffines. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., prior to service time. Vandal passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1941 in Commerce, TX, the son of Herschel Milner and Sadie Davis Huffines. He married DeLana Randolph on July 6, 1973 in Sulphur Springs. He graduated from Ladonia High School in 1959, he was a member of First Baptist Church, and he worked as a production planner for Rockwell/Flowserve for 46 years. Vandal was a wonderful husband, father, and papa. He is survived by wife, DeLana Huffines of Sulphur Springs, son, Brandon Kyle Huffines and wife Melissa of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Kyle Timothy Huffines and Carter Michael Huffines, and brother, Ronnie Huffines and wife Debbie of Greenville, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brian Timothy Huffines, grandson, Shaun Nicholas Huffines, and sister, Wanda Shires.
