Graveside service for Alice Goforth, 76, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Horton Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Powers officiating. Pallbearers will be Collin Stroud, Paul Clayton, Brandon Clayton, Josh Duke, Cameron Stroud, David Rojo, and Justin Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be all her adopted kids. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Alice passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born on September 5, 1938 in Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Raymond Richard and Erma Vetto Rice Smith. She worked for Community Chest, Green Thumb, and various school districts. She is survived by son, Steve Duke and wife Laura of Dike, daughters, Brenda Stroud and husband Ricky of Yantis, Rhonda Clayton and husband George of Commerce, brother, Dick Smith and wife Nita of Ft. Worth, sisters, Billie Jean Bullock of Ft. Worth, Peggy Hedrick of Duncan, Ok, Devonna Perryman of Lodi, CA, grandchildren, Paul Clayton and wife Crystal of Commerce, Brandon Clayton of Commerce, Collin Stroud of Sulphur Springs, Josh Duke of Sulphur Springs, Alice Ritchey and husband David of Sulphur Springs, Cameron Stroud and wife Ashley of Forney, Grace Cox of Sulphur Springs, Amber Stribling of Sulphur Springs, Justin Duke of Dike, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Sue Lynn Cox, sister, Lois Smith, and one great-granddaughter, Chandler.
