The annual Sulphur Springs High School Greenhouse Plant Sale is coming up April 11 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Ag Teacher Amber Norris says they will have hanging baskets of Boston ferns along with shade and full time plants including geraniums, impatiens, verbenas, petunias, lantanas and begonias. Students in Floral Design and Horticulture classes care of the plants.
Amber Norris, Ag Teacher at SSHS, said the sale was delayed one week due to weather and the Easter Holiday. She said a wide variety of shade and sun plants will be available. Students have been studying floral design as well as horitculture. Norris said there is a zero behavior issues with students due to the environment of the greenhouse and the enjoyment of the students in working in soil and with plants. The students are also receiving training that assists in employment.
