Upcoming Events Brought to You by Your County Extension Office

If you keep up with local happenings, you will often see Texas A&M AgriLife Extension listed as the primary provider or collaborator. Improving the lives of people, businesses, and communities across Texas and beyond through high-quality, relevant education is Extension’s mission. Through the programs Extension faculty members provide, Texans are better prepared to:

· eat well, stay healthy, manage money, and raise their children to be successful adults.

· efficiently help themselves through preventing problems and using tools for economic stability and security.

· improve stewardship of the environment and of the state’s natural resources.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension has a proud history, celebrating 100 years of service this year, and I’m glad to be a part of this excellent organization! We hope you will choose to take advantage of our programs, workshops, educational series, and special events. July is half over, and as I write this column, eight 4-H members and four adults are participating in an exchange trip with Eau Claire, Wisconsin 4-H families. From the correspondence that I’ve received, they are having a wonderful time while learning about the Wisconsin 4-H program, primary sources of agriculture and visiting historic sites of our great country.

August brings more opportunities for a variety of audiences. Check the list below and call us if you would like to take part in any of the following:
