Funeral service for Lila Ruth Davis, age 87 of Tyler, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday September 29, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev Byron George officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery with Wade Davis, Jason Allison, Trent Miller, Mike Bearden, Travis Cutbirth and Joe Rogers serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Davis passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Lila was born on August 4, 1934, in Alba, Texas, to William Lannie and Clossy Lee (Strickland) Moore. She married Clifford H. Davis on February 3, 1951, in Yantis, Texas. Lila was a homemaker. She was a member of the Seymore Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Allison and husband, Jim, and Kim Miller and husband, Trent; son, Randy Davis and wife, Marlene; grandchildren, Wade Davis, Lance Davis, Candace Bearden, Jason Allison, Kate Miller and Chloe Miller; great-grandchildren, Katlin Cutbirth, Emily Davis, Brady Davis, Parker Bearden and Charley Allison; an sister, Barbara Swindell.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; sisters, Wilma Boren and Fay Stedman; and great-grandson, Cameron Davis.
