Tommie Ella Stribling of Sulphur Springs, Texas, passed away February 13, 2022, at the age of 89.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Willis E. Taylor Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at PHBC cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Tommie Ella Stribling was born in Marshall, Texas, to Monroe and Lillian Johnson on May 25, 1932. Her family would later relocate to Sulphur Springs, Texas, where she met and in the year 1946 married her husband Otis DeWayne Stribling.
She was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Tommie also worked as a CNA for over 30 years at Sulphur Springs Memorial Hospital. She also did household management for the Gober and McKenzie families. Tommie was a beautiful soul inside and out, full of love, always smiling, and always helping others. She was also extremely proud to see her 5th generation in her lifetime.
Tommie was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Sr.; her two children, Otis Jr and Bonnie; her parents, Monroe Sr. and Lillian; her two brothers, John Henry and Monroe Jr.; and her three sisters, Louise, Joyce, and Geraldine.
Tommie is survived by her children, Donnie Stribling (Wanda) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; Dianna Fountain (TC) of Dallas, Texas; Barry Stribling Sr. (Ann) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; George Stribling of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and Scottie Stribling of Sulphur Springs, Texas. Her sister, Magdaline Wright of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren also survive.
