Funeral service for Billie Gail (Meeks) Jones, age 71 of Sulphur Springs, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M.
on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. L.D. Baxley officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenpond Cemetery with Bennie Harris, Chad Meeks, Carrol Meeks, Darrel
Meeks, Paul Goebal, James Wilkerson, Joe Wilkerson, and John Wilkerson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Meeks, Levi Barnes, and Wayne Wilkerson. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Jones passed away on September 12, 2023 at Christus Mother Frances – Sulphur Springs.
Bille Gail was born on September 23, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Billy Bob and Loretta (Luman) Meeks. She married Bill Jones in 1976 in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Billie Gail worked at Leisure Lodge in the kitchen and at Meeks Laundry Services. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Como.
She is survived by her brothers, Don Meeks and wife, Laura, Bobby Dale Meeks, and several nieces and nephews. Billie Gail was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill and son, Billy Joe Bridges JR.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
