It’s Rain or Shine for the 2023 Hopkins County Stew Contest

October 27, 2023 – Burford Park was alive with people setting up for the 2023 Hopkins County Stew Contest on Friday. Virtually all the stew sites had equipment and canopies in them.

Early set up is going well and spirits are high.

Brian from CANHelp was busy getting their vender site ready. CANHelp is pulling double duty this year. They are partnering with a local insurance company and a Sulphur Springs City Council member to cook stew, and spread the word about what CANHelp can do.

Hopkins County Sheriff Lewis Tatum and team will be at the north end of Buford Park.

Everyone is certain a little weather will not hinder this beloved event. Grab an umbrella (just in case) and head out to Buford Park in Sulphur Springs.

Kids 12 and under eat free courtesy of Signature Solar. You can still buy your stew tickets online, but that service will end at midnight Friday. You can still buy tickets on Saturday morning if you like.
