Daniel Stevens Murray, son of Sue Rowell Murray (Emblem, Tx) and Louis Dan Murray (Sulphur Springs, Tx) was born May 28, 1950, in Sulphur Springs and passed away on August 23, 2023, in Pensacola Florida.
Dan attended Dallas high schools W. W. Samuel and Bryan Adams, graduating from B.A. in 1968. In 25 years in the Navy, Dan was based at Jacksonville, San Diego, and Treasure Island as an Aviation Electronics Technician and Photographer’s Mate. Upon retirement, Dan made Pensacola his home. A Mensa member, Dan had a keen interest in science and a love for photography. Burial on Thursday, November 2, 2023 10:30 AM at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola (Trahan Funeral Home). Dan supported NPR station WUWF.
