Funeral Service for Billy Ray, age 83, of Cypress, TX will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home, Sulphur Springs, TX. Bill Morgan will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Academy Cemetery, Como, TX. Mr. Ray passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Cypress, TX.
Billy Omar Ray was born to Omar and Vernell Ray on May 13, 1940. He is survived by wife, Rita Ray; daughters, Robin Morgan (Bill), Rebecca Lewis (James); grandchildren, Scott Morgan, Christy and Colby McGunnis, Mandy and Kent Carroll, Dustin Morgan, Emily and Chris Morales, Evan Lewis; great- grandchildren, Josie Bowers, Malachi McGinnis, Selah McGinnis, Jude McGinnis, Kent Reed, Callie Reed.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Omer and Vernell Ray and his first wife, Pat Ray.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
