Ronnie Kinworthy

Memorial Service for Ronald “Ronnie” Lynn Kinworthy age, 62 of Sulphur Springs, TX will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Burns officiating. Ronnie passed away at his home on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

Ronnie was born on July 9, 1961, in Escondido, CA to Jackie and Mary Kinworthy. He married the love of his life, Karie, on May 30, 1981. Together, they built a life filled with enduring love, devotion, and affection that stood as a testament to their unbreakable bond. Ronnie was an avid outdoorsman, finding joy in hunting and fishing, particularly along the coast. He found solace in spending time at the coast and visited every opportunity he could. He loved to be on the boat with Chris and catching catfish. Their shared passion created cherished memories. Ronnie adored spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Kyler Jack, and Sailee Jo. They were the light of his life.

Ronnie worked as a Park Ranger for Texas Parks and Wildlife at Cooper Lake for over 15 years. He enjoyed working outdoors and was known to be a prankster among his co-workers. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh. Ronnie enjoyed cooking, grilling, and trying new recipes; the spicier the better.
Ronnie was full of life and will be deeply missed by all that knew and love him. He was a man of faith and his greatest accomplishment in life was giving his life to the Lord. Even through the ups and downs the last years have brought, he stood strong and never waivered in his faith.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karie Kinworthy; son, Chris Kinworthy and his wife, Katie; sisters, Rhonda Blakenship and her husband Eric and Shanna Gluck; grandchildren, Kyler Jack Kinworthy, and Sailee Jo Kinworthy, as well as a host of loving relatives and friends. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Randy Kinworthy.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hope Hospice and a very special nurse, Heidi Hampton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Texas Parks and Wildlife – Coastal Fisheries Management.
