Chance Roger Morgan went home to heaven on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, where his Lord embraced him with grace and open arms. Even though the family’s hearts are broken since he was taken from them so young, they are at peace knowing he is being welcomed by his loved ones who have gone before him. They can only imagine the blessed reunion between him and his father for whom he had so much love and admiration.
Born at Medical City in Dallas, Texas, on March 22, 1984, Chance was the son of Patricia Branum Agee and Larry Wayne Morgan. The couple began to raise their family in Forney, Texas. After the sudden passing of Chance’s father, they moved to Houston, Texas in 1992. He attended Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, Texas. The family migrated back to the Dallas area over the next several years. Because of Chance’s passion for animals, he worked at several veterinarian clinics and doggy daycares. His last job that meant so much to him was at Texton, Inc. He truly valued this job and spoke highly of the people with whom he worked.
Chance was a treasured son to Patti, a bonded brother to Zach, an adoring father to Kabel, and a special family member and devoted friend to so many others. He loved all animals, specifically dogs and cats, and they were a constant source of joy and humor in his life. Chance’s love for his pets, especially Putter and Abby, was evident to all who knew him. He was an avid reader and loved writing short stories. He was a Civil War buff and enjoyed reading anything about history.
Chance’s proudest moment of his life was the birth of his son, Kabel Wesley Morgan, who was born on August 13, 2014. He adored Kabel and treasured every moment that he spent with him. He would play on the floor with Kabel for hours on end and they loved building Legos together. Kabel was named after Chance’s life-long friend, Kabel Eugene Thompson, who sadly also passed away too soon on July 2, 2020.
Chance was preceded in death by his father, Larry Wayne Morgan; maternal grandparents Jack Roger Branum, Marjorie Nancy Bufkin, and Charlotte Madelyn Dunson Branum; paternal grandparents Linis Morgan and Mozelle Morgan; and best friend, Kabel Eugene Thompson. He is survived by his beloved mother, Patricia Branum Agee (husband Randy) and older brother, Zachary Cole Morgan. He leaves behind a legacy of love with all his heart for his precious son, Kabel Wesley Morgan.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 3 rd , 2024, from 2:00 – 5:00pm at The Hilton Rockwall Lakefront Hotel in the Admiral Room.
