Lottie Mae Moore passed away August 26, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born July 11, 1952, in Hopkins County to Cecil Barrett and Catherine Moore. Lottie graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1972. She worked in food services until she took on childcare for most of her family and friend’s children. In her leisure, Lottie loved listening to music and shaking her head to the beat, especially to the song “Kung Fu Fighting”.
Lottie Mae Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Barrett and Catherine Moore; siblings, Elder Mack Barrett, Lillie Faye Barrett; special cousin, Carol Brooks, Willie James Brooks; grandparents, Leathia Mae Shaw and William L. Moore. She leaves to mourn her special aunt Georgia Brooks and special friend Donald Goddfrey.
She leaves to cherish her memories: brother, James Barrett; sisters, Wilma Jean Nelson (Floyd) and sister-in law, Elizabeth Barrett; special sister (by love) cousin by blood, Sandra JoCork (Kenneth), Linda Faye Brooks, Angelia Y. Brooks, Melinda Brooks, and a host of nieces and nephews.
