Pastor David Burns and congregation of Brashear Baptist Church are planning another 4th of July extravaganza, and you’re invited! The community event is Monday July 4, 2016 starting at 6pm for the first serving of grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. Several freezers of homemade ice cream along with homemade brownies will be awaiting their guests inside the Family Life Center. There will also be plenty of soft drinks, tea and water available, all at no charge. Outside, a gospel concert will take place under a large tent, so bring you lawn chair and get a good seat. Kids can play in the bounce house and water slide. When it gets dark enough, the video Tribute to local military personnel and first responders will be shown on the large outdoor screen, followed by a fireworks extravaganza. Bring your family and friends. If you’d like to sing in the gospel concert, contact Pastor Burns at 903-366-5005 or the church office at 903-582-2334. Find Brashear Baptist Church by taking the Brashear exit of I-30 West, cross over and head south about 100 yards.
