The Lady Cats’ softball team won for a second time in this year’s Wylie tournament with a close, come from behind victory, 5-3 over Princeton Friday.
Princeton jumped out ahead with 3 runs in the bottom of the first inning. The Lady Cats topped that with four runs in the top of the second. The Lady Cats added another run in the top of the fourth. Bailey Haggerty got the pitching win. The Lady Cats scored five runs on five hits. Princeton got three runs on three hits. The Lady Cats had 2 errors while Princeton had 4.
The Lady Cats improved their season record to 11-3. The Lady Cats will play Wylie East Saturday at 9 a.m. and Mesquite Horn at 3 p.m. Saturday.
