Atmos Energy will begin flaring at their substation near CR 2319 and FM 1870 by Reed’s Scrap Metal and the former AP Green Brick Plant. The flaring will continue for 10 business days, according to County Fire Chief Andy Endsley.
Flames will shoot into the air approximately 50 feet. Endsley said residents do not need to call the fire department regarding the flaring. Atmos will have staff on hand should the flaring create a dangerous situation or cause an unplanned fire.
