Thomas “Tom” Twain Hooten

Thomas “Tom” Twain Hooten, age 48, of Point, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on April 5, 2017, at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 9, at 3:00 PM at Point Church of Christ with Matt Busby officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior at 2:00 PM.  Interment will follow at Hooker Cemetery in Lone Oak.

Tom was born in Greenville, TX on December 29, 1968, to Teddy Joe and Margaret Gaye Lee Hooten.  Tom married the love of his life, Debbie Busby, on September 9, 1988 in Point, TX.  Tom was a born again Christian and a member of Bois D’Arc Baptist Church in East Tawakoni.  Tom worked as a self employed welder, and construction worker for years and most recently a Supervisor at Hooten’s Lawn and Tree service.
Survivors include:  Wife: Debbie Hooten of Point;  Daughter:  Cecily Nicole Hooten Kirby (Kyle) of Alba; Son:  Colton Lee Hooten of Winnsboro; Parents:  Teddy Joe and Gaye Hooten of Point; Father and Mother-in-law:  Jerry and Charlotte Busby of Emory; Twin Brother:  Tim Hooten of Emory; 6 Grandchildren:  Greenlee Moore, Kinsler, Oaklee, Stryker and Radlee Kirby and Cutter Hooten; Brother-in-law:  Jerry Busby (Tonya); Sister-in-law:  Crystal Howse; Nieces and Nephews:  Tori and Katie Hooten, Josh and Meegan Busby, Dacee Howse, Maddie and River Hill
Preceded by:  Grandparents: Edgar and Margaret Lee; Enos and Jessie Hooten; Grandmother-in-law:  Florence Furra; Uncle:  Freddie Lee
