Funeral service for Sherry Ann Allen, age 67, of Point, will be held Friday, 10:00 am, April 28, 2017, at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Robert Burns will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Turner Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday evening, April 27th, from 6:00–8:00 pm. Sherry passed away Monday, April 24th, in Tyler, at U.T. Health Northeast in Tyler.She was born May 19, 1949, in Greenville, to Eddie Leon and Etta Mauretta Morrow Thompson, Sr. She raised her family while working several jobs. During her earlier working career, she was a draftsman for an architectural firm.
She also had her own cake making business, where she designed and created beautiful birthday, wedding, anniversary, and whatever kinds of cakes her customers ordered. Sherry was a member of Emory Baptist Church.
