The Sulphur Springs City Council, at a regular meeting Tuesday expected to start at 7:30 p.m. or later due to the council room being a voting site, is expected to take action on three future projects. Those are the renovation of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, remodeling of old City Hall and reconstruction of Lamar Street. City Manager Marc Maxwell says Old City Hall and Lamar Street projects should get underway before the end of the year.
The Sulphur Springs City Council is expected to receive a presentation by the Bright Star Baseball League for children with special needs concerning a proposed Bright Star League Baseball Field at a regular meeting Tuesday night. Due to the council chamber serving as a polling site until 7 p.m., the council meeting is expected to begin no sooner than 7:30 p.m. City Manager Marc Maxwell will also give his Manager’s Report.
