On Wednesday the 21st the North Hopkins High School competed at the district academic UIL meet, hosted at Martins Mill. North Hopkins received 2nd place and is proud to announce that they had seven students qualify to compete at the Regional UIL meet. The following students qualified for Regionals that will be on April 13th and 14th: Rachel Stanley 3rd place informative speaking and 1st place in Lincoln Douglas Debate, Samuel Stanley 2nd place LD Debate, Evan Lewis 3rd place LD Debate, Jessica Hatley 2nd place in number sense, Esperanza Deterding received 1st place in persuasive speaking, Eastan Lewis 3rd place persuasive speaking and ready writing, Garrison Roller 5th place and top scorer in Physics- Science.
North Hopkins also had eight students that placed as Regional alternates: Samuel Stanley, Jessica Hatley, Ashley Aguilar, Faith Wheeler, Breeanna Hicks, Tate Myers, Garrison Roller, and Reijena Kleibor. North Hopkins also placed second in overall standings.
