Mary Carolyn Reid Hester passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 88. She was at the family farm in Cooper, Texas surrounded by family.
Born April 2, 1930 in Fredrick, Oklahoma to Archibald and Texa Lee Reid; she was the youngest of four. We celebrate her life as a person, a nurse of 30 plus years and a mother of five. She had a distinguished career in nursing as head of three Emergency Rooms in Houston and Dallas.
She is survived by her sons James Reid, Michael B. Hester and his wife, Karen Walkup-Hester, and Robert B. Hester and his wife, Kay Hester as well as her two daughters, Molly Hill, and Holly Hester Seebold and her husband, Mike Seebold. She had 7 grandchildren, Erin Reid Aycox, Megan Reid Burris, Elizabeth Hill, Rebecca Hill, Maisie Hester, Gus Hester, and Avalon Reid Austin as well as 3 great grandchildren. She loved her children, her dogs, and her garden, and we love you, Mom.
