Lady Cats Basketball Coach Brittney Tisdell says when she is scouting and sizing up an opponent, she considers if they may be susceptible to the press. The Lady Cats used a full court press to begin their game with North Lamar Tuesday evening (December 18). The Lady Cats forced turnovers and raced out to an 11-0 lead. The Lady Cats defeated North Lamar, 50-27.
Coach Tisdell says the Lady Cats did a really good job executing the press. She says her subs also did as well. Coach Tisdell says the press gets the Lady Cats rolling and going. She says great defense is a key to Lady Cats wins. Coach Tisdell told her team in the post game locker room that they had allowed the Pantherettes no points in the third quarter. She says she couldn’t ask for a better job from the Lady Cats.
Coach Tisdell says she used all eleven players on her roster and she says the subs were able to keep the lead. Autumn Tanton led the Lady Cats with 19 points and Sadavia Porter scored 15. Coach Tisdell says those numbers are a little low for those two players.
Before the Christmas break, the Lady Cats, now 14-3 for the season, will play at Hugo Oklahoma Friday at 6:15 p.m.
