Bobbie was the daughter of Luthur Jackson “Jack” Miller and Golden Gladys Miller and was born March 7, 1930, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Bobbie attended public schools in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and after graduation married her high school sweetheart and soulmate, Joe Allen Worsham, on July 14, 1948. They were happily married for over 70 years. Bobbie was a wonderful, loving and devoted wife to Joe Allen and mother to their two sons. Her absolute passion was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and later great-grandchildren. Bobbie played a large part in teaching her entire family the importance of being honest, having integrity, working hard, loving and cherishing family and living a Christian life. Bobbie was a friend that all friends would have loved to have had. Bobbie worked for the H.D. Lee clothing plant for many years and later for Dr. Joe Longino as part of his office staff. She was always happy to help Joe with many of his projects around the farm and to travel with him on many of his trips in his Big Rig. They set the standard for the entire family on how to be a good person and how to love family unconditionally. Bobbie was talented in many areas, and more especially she had a natural “Green Thumb” in that she could plant anything and it thrived. Bobbie was a long-time member of Martin Springs Baptist Church and a devoted Christian. She was proud to tell anyone just how much she loved God and Jesus. One of the long-time members commented recently that “the church might not have made it if not for all of the work that Bobbie put in to saving it.” In her last days, she told all of us that she could see “Him” in the room and that He had His hands out to her. At the end she was not afraid, and there is no doubt that she is sitting with Jesus now.
Bobbie is survived by Joe A. Worsham, her husband for over 70 years, two sons, Don A. Worsham and wife, Carol, of Sulphur Springs and David Worsham and wife, Patricia, of Whitehouse. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristi Ann Corbitt and husband, Christian, Bradley Worsham, Lori Worsham, Brian Goldwater, and Clint Goldwater and wife, Felicia. Bobbie leaves behind three great grandchildren, Jack Corbitt, Mick Corbitt and Kathryn Goldwater.
Bobbie is predeceased in death by her parents and one sister, Jacki Miller Pope.
