The Hopkins County Commissioners Court attended a Texas Association of Counties State Legislative Meeting Monday in Emory. The well attended meeting featured State Representative Dan Flynn, State Senator-elect Bob Hall and State Representative-elect Stuart Spitzer of Kaufman. Precinct 1 Hopkins County Commissioner Beth Wisenbaker said county officials discouraged unfunded mandates and spoke highly of funding to repair county roads damaged by overweight trucks.
