2 Men Jailed Felony Warrants

Hopkins County Sheriff’s deputies took two men into custody Wednesday July 10 on felony warrants for violating probation, according to arrest and jail reports.

HCSO Cpl. Todd Evans was dispatched at 9:15 a.m. July 10 to the probation office, where he took 22-year-old Jacob Nathaniel Granger of Sulphur Springs into custody on a warrant for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of 2 ounces or more but less than 4 ounces of marijuana in a drug-free zone.

While being booked into jail Granger was noted to be uncooperative, and had to be asked several times about his address, Evans noted in arrest reports. Granger remained in the county jail on the charge Thursday morning, July 11, according to jail reports.

Gene Leonard Self Jr.

Deputy Steve Huffman traveled to Pulaski County Detention Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he took Gene Leonard Self Jr. into custody at 11 a.m. on a Hopkins County warrant for violation of probation, which he was on for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, according to arrest and jail reports.

Huffman transported the 33-year-old Little Rock man to Hopkins County jail, where he was held on the felony warrant, according to arrest reports. Self remained in the county jail Thursday morning, July 11, according to jail reports.
