Expect Delays on I-30 Westbound at Mile Marker 118

An accident at the 118 mile-markers on I-30 Monday morning around 5 a.m. resulted when a semi-truck-trailer left the roadway into the median and went into a wide creek running under the roadway. According to reports there was one fatality and one serious injury. Traffic was backed up on both sides of the interstate into midday.

Second Arrest in Armed Robbery
Hopkins County Sheriff’s officers arrested a second man in connection with the armed holdup of a couple at Highway 11 West and County Road 4703 just before 3 a.m. Friday. Arrested were 20-year old Demetrius Shawn Williams and 18-year old Jason Floyd Koenig. Both men were charged with aggravated robbery before Justice of the Peace B. J. Teer. Night Time Feeding
