Students from across Texas and Louisiana made their way to the Hopkins County Civic center for first ever Texas A&M Commerce hosted rodeo. The event kicked off Friday February 21st, 2020. Voting will be conducted from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 23, and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 25 and 27. The EAA Chapter 1094 had 29 folks fly out to KSLR on February 15th, 2020. The wind was pretty gusty in quite a few places and that may have kept the number of pilots down. Gyrocopter out of Denton, TX These guys are standing in front of a Gyrocopter that came out of Denton. It is not a helicopter, the engine pushes it forward and the forward movement causes the top rotor to spin which then causes lift. We had 6 planes fly in total, here is a shot of most of them.
