May 14, 2024 – KSST has been the voice of Sulphur Springs Wildcats sports since 1947. John Mark Dempsey and Tony Flippin will bring you the Playoffs game between the Lady Cats and Aubrey at Community High School in Nevada, Texas. The game has now been changed to Friday, May 17, 2024. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00pm. If you can’t attend the game in person, be sure to tune in to KSST, 1230AM, for the live broadcast. We will video the game for playback at a later date and time. May 5, 2024 – CHRISTUS Health hosted free student athlete screenings for ten different school districts in Sulphur Springs and surrounding areas on Friday, May 3. More than 1,200 students from (entering) 7th to 11th grade were seen. Fifty staff members volunteered, including physicians, nurses, athletic trainers, and support staff, to make this possible. May 2, 2024 – Hopkins County Spring Cleanup is May 3rd from 7 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. and on May 4th from 7A.M. until noon. Hopkins County residents may bring larger household items (not commercial) to their county precinct barn to dispose of them properly. All county precinct barns will be open for the clean up, all trash will be accepted, however no toxic or hazardous materials will be accepted.
