Mr. Melvin Sparks, age 78 of Scroggins, passed away on Friday, June 7th, 2019 at his home. He was born on December 26th, 1940 in Scroggins, Texas to the late Ernest T. Sparks and Myrtle Lee Jordan Sparks.  Melvin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winnsboro, a 1966 graduate of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, Texas A&M University.
