Contract Approved To House Federal Inmates at Hopkins County Jail
Hopkins County Commissioners Court Monday morning approved a temporary contract with the US Marshals Service to house federal inmates at Hopkins County jail. The contract is for 150 days and would allow up to 30 federal inmates to be housed at the county jail at a rate of $60 a day. A 64-year-old Sulphur Springs man’s attempt to hide from police under trash reportedly failed Wednesday afternoon. A 39-year-old Sacramento, California woman was jailed in her home county until Wednesday on a Hopkins County warrant. Kimberly Lynn Finch Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office was alerted Kimberly Lynn Finch was in custody. New Record Lows Set For Home, Building Burglaries Crime declined overall in Sulphur Springs last year, setting a new 20-year record, according to data recorded by Sulphur Springs Police Department for the seven major offense categories.
