At the Hopkins County Veterans Memorial, the Hopkins County Marine Detachment partnered With American Legion Post 66  in posting all flags at half staff. Taps was played  as they lowered Old Glory to Half Staff. The Sulphur Springs Police Department has figured out what happened to mar several stones of the Hopkins County Veterans Memorial over the weekend.
